Saransh Arth’ is an affordable housing project under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, a Government of India initiative, in the eastern part of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, India.
This is a dense project with 500 units of one, two and three bedroom, compact apartments for LIG and lower MIG people. The surrounding area has buildings no higher than 7 to 8 storeys but to achieve the FSI, 2 high rise towers had to be planned. The only way for the project to respond to the surroundings was by keeping the lower buildings with smaller units to the periphery and keeping the high towers to the centre of the site.
The road facing blocks also have two floors of shops to take care of the daily needs of the residents. The project has a full basement to take care of parking requirements.
